150,000 lines of PHP replaced by ~900 lines: dev ditches Coolify for self-built control plane

Developer illyism replaced self-hosted Coolify and Coolify Cloud across 3 servers in 2 hours with a zero-dependency control plane built into his analytics app:
- Migrated 28 apps and 633 AES-256-GCM encrypted env vars
- Pipeline: GitHub App push webhooks → BuildKit build → zero-downtime swap
- 17 Postgres DBs stream nightly backups to Cloudflare R2 via curl --aws-sigv4
- 4 MCP tools (deployapp, appenvs, backupscrons, listapps)
- No SSH keys stored in the web app — servers pull jobs over HTTPS; deleted 4 Coolify containers and revoked all third-party SSH keys
Result: 150,000 lines of PHP replaced by 900 lines of Bun + Python stdlib.
