SaaS acquisition logic rewritten by AI: SEO traffic dies but brands and influencers win
tibo_maker · x · 2026-10-30
Creator @tibomaker, quoting VEED exec observations, on how AI is reshaping SaaS acquisition:
- Traffic at many software companies peaked around April 2025 and fell—some by 50%; but falling traffic ≠ falling revenue. VEED's search clicks dropped while channel revenue stayed stable—figure out which visits disappeared.
- Generic-search-dependent companies are losing ground; brand demand is the moat. Branding, UGC and influencer marketing matter more than ever—pay influencers if you can.
- SEO no longer drives traffic but is still a prerequisite for AI mentions; be where AI crawls: Reddit, X articles, blog listicles.
- Product bug tolerance is going to zero; stand for something with your brand.
