matthew_d_green · x · 2026-10-30
Cryptographer Matthew Green discusses security community pushback against AI labs: he's glad to see security people push labs on past bad decisions and agrees sandboxing is critical (and he's no doomer), but rejects the packaged attitude that new model capabilities are "no big deal."
He adds that much of the maximalist posturing is driven by insecurity — a fear that without the most extreme position, one no longer "owns" security.
