Google Knowledge Catalog goes GA with semantic model ingestion from six sources
AiJohnAllen · x · 2026-10-30
Google Cloud announced general availability of expanded semantic model support in Knowledge Catalog: it natively ingests semantic models and metric definitions from Looker LookML, BigQuery Graph, dbt MetricFlow, Snowflake Semantic Views, Databricks Metric Views and SAP CSN into a single governed context graph, alongside schema, lineage, profiles and glossary — no data movement or rewrites. The goal is grounding AI agents in trusted business definitions so they stop miscounting metrics, with conflicting definitions surfaced with provenance for stewards to reconcile.
