Discord opens public server messages to Google search this November, feeding AI models
daluoseo · x · 2026-10-30
Per Malwarebytes, Discord will make public server content — server names, discussion summaries and some user messages — discoverable on search engines like Google starting mid-November. Admins can opt channels out now; users can disable message sharing in Data & Privacy settings. Noting discord.com's DR of 95, commentators say the huge fresh corpus will feed Google, ChatGPT and Claude, potentially displacing Reddit as the go-to source for AI answers — and some are already mass-creating servers to ride the wave.
