Claude keeps asking devs to physically fold the iPhone while coding for Apple's foldable
airkatakana · x · 2026-10-30
A developer building apps for Apple's foldable iPhone found that fold/unfold state is only exposed via the simulator GUI — no API — so Claude repeatedly asks the human to physically fold and unfold the phone during development. A screenshot shows Claude explaining that Maestro's automated taps can't reach the unfolded inner screen, promising to verify a quiz divider after one more manual fold, and noting it has committed nothing. The UI shows "Opus 5.5" selected. The author quips: is anyone at Apple using an LLM, and how did nobody notice this?
