OpenCartridge: open-source local-first game asset suite shipped as frozen Docker cartridges
camenduru · x · 2026-10-30
camenduru released OpenCartridge, an open-source, fully local AI game asset creative suite.
- How it works: each "cartridge" is a secure Docker image bundling a ComfyUI workflow plus model weights, so you never have to troubleshoot broken pip packages or mismatched CUDA versions — workflows are frozen in time and reproducible years later, while the UI self-updates.
- Features: a canvas editor with layered image/text/video/audio/3D (GLB) composition, undo-redo, transforms, blending and export; cartridges auto-render from local ComfyUI workers' catalogs and can be dragged onto the canvas, covering sprite sheets, animation, 3D and audio.
- Built on TostUI with a higgsfield.ai-inspired visual style; MIT licensed on GitHub.
