First major AI company breach will be a privacy nightmare, researcher warns
ohlennart · x · 2026-10-30
Developer ohlennart lays out a risk chain: AI companies are gaining access to users' computers, documents, and emails; AI simultaneously uplifts hackers' capabilities; and all that private data and potential blackmail material ends up highly centralized in a few companies.
His conclusion: the first major breach at an AI company will be a privacy nightmare — centralization plus AI-enhanced attackers doubly amplifies the damage. The point lands especially hard as agents increasingly request local file and inbox access.
