Higgsfield sends cease-and-desist to ComfyUI over 'Open Source Higgsfield' challenge
optimisticalish · reddit · 2026-10-30
ComfyUI published a cease-and-desist letter from Higgsfield's general counsel demanding the 'Open Source Higgsfield' challenge be taken down within 48 hours, citing trademark use of the HIGGSFIELD name and use of CEO Alex Mashrabov's likeness that implies false affiliation. ComfyUI's response: the challenge exists because Higgsfield promised to open-source its product and never did; for two weeks builders have been recreating closed apps as open workflows. Comfy says the event is clearly community-organized and the challenge stays up.
