Graphiti 0.31 swaps default model to gpt-6-luna — same input, different graph
JeremyCMorgan · x · 2026-10-30
Jeremy Morgan flags three subtle changes in Graphiti 0.31: the default OpenAI model switched to gpt-6-luna, the dedupe path changed, and the extraction prompt was rewritten — same input, different graph. His advice: re-run your evals before upgrading, and read the Raw-RAG paper before deciding you need a knowledge graph at all.
The release also bumps the MCP server to SDK 2.x with per-groupid tool routing, adds an LLMRuntime for prompt/model routing, and fixes FalkorDB 6.x fulltext indices. A general reminder for any LLM extraction pipeline: swap the underlying model and outputs drift — keep evals handy.
