Gemini can now generate and edit Google Docs, Sheets and slides in-chat

Google rolled out in-chat file editing for Gemini: users can now generate, preview, and edit PDFs, Google Docs, Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT, and code files without leaving the app. Documents expand into full-screen editing, and highlighted text can be used to ask Gemini questions or prompt changes. PDF preview/editing works on web and mobile; other formats are web-only for now, available to all Gemini users.
