Wabi, founded by Replika creator Eugenia Kuyda, has raised $55 million led by IVP at a $1.25 billion valuation, per TechCrunch.
- Wabi now positions itself as a multiplayer personal AI agent that works like a messenger: you add friends and family to threads, and the agent plans, coordinates everyday tasks, and builds mini apps (trackers, meal plans, games) for the group.
- The company pivoted from prompt-based app building to an "AI messenger" just last month and only opened to the public on Oct 19; no real business metrics have been disclosed.
- The round follows a streak of big agent bets: Instinct raised $1B at a $10B valuation in September, Town AI closed a $108M Series B at a $1B valuation last week, and Tolan raised $30M led by USV.
