Mistral released the weights of its 1-trillion-parameter Mistral Large 4 and cut API prices roughly in half: $0.70 input, $0.07 cached input, $2.10 output per million tokens — about half the pre-Oct-22 list prices.
Unlike Large 3's Apache 2.0, Large 4 ships under the modified-MIT Mistral Ecosystem Open-Weight license: anyone can use, modify and commercialize it, but Model-as-a-Service providers must obtain a separate commercial license — a notably tighter deal.
