Employee Work Is Training Data for the AI That Will Replace You, Says signull
signulll · x · 2026-10-30
signull argues that in the medium-to-long term, every corporate employee is effectively generating training data for an AI likely to replace them — and even if the company fails, their work still creates value as training data.
He frames this as liberating rather than bleak: humans were never meant to do automatable jobs ("we don't use plows anymore"), and eventually we'll all be creating our own AI replacements, freeing us to live the way we were meant to.
