Vercel engineer's agent prompt slashes web font bytes with pixel-diff verification
shuding · x · 2026-10-30
Shu Ding (Vercel) shared the full prompt he uses to have an AI agent optimize web fonts: shrink font bytes as far as possible without any visual change, prove it with before/after pixel diffs, and treat any rendering change as a regression. He shows major load-time gains on a 3G network, no cache, and no swap.
