Extended canned-food pantry: the FIFO trick popularized by the LDS church
harris_edouard · x · 2026-10-30
Continuing the AI-cyber-event prepping thread, harrisedouard shares his extended pantry strategy:
- A Cansolidator rack saves space and ensures you eat the oldest cans first (FIFO).
- Interestingly, the idea was popularized by the LDS church, whose food-storage culture drove these tools.
- Water: apartment dwellers are best served by a few large bottles plus LifeStraw filters; with more space, three 55-gallon food-grade barrels hold about 5 months' worth.
