LlamaParse Agentic scores 179/179 on trap-page parse benchmark, beating frontier VLMs
llama_index · x · 2026-10-30
LlamaIndex stress-tested document parsers on a set of "trap pages" from real documents: dot leaders, tables full of 0.00, near-identical rows, and scans in rare scripts. A parser earns a "Boo" if it hallucinates past the page, returns nothing, or times out at 10 minutes.
Results: LlamaParse Agentic and Agentic Plus went 179/179 with zero Boos; the best frontier VLMs (GPT-6 Luna, GPT-6.1 Terra) hit 99.4%; open VLMs ranged from 61% to 93%. Purpose-built agentic parsing still clearly beats general vision models on hallucination-free extraction.
