Agent Arena: GPT-6.1 Sol costs $1.91 per task, 85% cheaper than Claude Opus 5.5
arena · x · 2026-10-30
Agent Arena published a cost-per-task comparison: OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol (Max) runs $1.91 per task — 85% less than the #1 Claude Opus 5.5 (Max) at $12.51, and 87% less than #3 GPT-6 Astra (Max) at $14.93.
The sources of the savings differ: against Astra, Sol's edge comes mainly from lower token prices, while against Opus it comes from elsewhere (e.g. fewer tokens/steps). Takeaway: lower cost per task doesn't always come from lower token prices. Full capability-vs-cost breakdown is on the Agent Arena site.
