PcGöz MCP server gives Claude text-based Windows desktop vision, ~30x fewer tokens than screenshots
emperorbug46 · reddit · 2026-10-29
An open-source MCP server lets Claude Code see and control the Windows desktop via text instead of screenshots: a UI Automation tree with refN ids cuts token usage from 1,600 to 40 on a sign-in form. Refs are re-verified at click time, input tools return post-action state, and safety features include an emergency-stop hotkey and refusal on password fields and UAC prompts. 13 tools, Python, no network calls; the author has used it daily for two months.
