Thrive Holdings announced an agreement to acquire ADT, the home security company with 150+ years of history serving millions of customers with installation, monitoring and emergency response.
Thrive's thesis is that established industries will be transformed from the inside out by technology; it already applies this across 75+ businesses in accounting, IT services and the built environment. For ADT, it plans to use AI to reduce false alarms, make notifications more informative, and detect equipment problems earlier — aiming to define the next era of trusted home security.
