Don't force multi-agent for enterprise: a one-night RPA script beats slow, costly agents
sujingshen · x · 2026-10-29
- A common pitfall in enterprise projects: teams rush to build agents after hearing hype about OpenClaw or Hermes, only to find plain workflows work better.
- In many cases a simple RPA script runs stable overnight at low cost, while a LangChain + vector DB + multi-agent stack ends up slow, unstable, and expensive—leading teams to wrongly conclude 'AI doesn't work.' The real issue is choosing the wrong tool.
- Advice: for personal use, general agents like Claude Code or Codex are good enough; for production, prefer 'partial intelligence + heavy automation' (RPA/workflow), because reliable output matters more than how smart the system looks.
