Solo Dev, Team Results: Three.js + AI Power Interactive Explainersonels
anselm · x · 2026-10-29
Ryan Sael believes we're now in an era where one person with AI can build what used to take an entire team, months of work, and hundreds of thousands of dollars — and he's bullish on Three.js: no installation needed, it runs right in the browser, its visual quality is catching up with game engines, and AI has flattened the learning curve so work that took months now takes days or even hours. His own site, sael.net, is proof — built solo with Three.js, it hosts a wealth of interactive explainer animations (such as Inside an AI Data Center, Token Town, and The Plane of Focus with 3.6M views), has racked up millions of views in total, and he has announced plans to open-source the project.
