Hemmingway-1.5: 27B open model passes AI detectors 90% of the time
jacek2023 · reddit · 2026-10-29
HemmingwayAI released Hemmingway-1.5, a 27B Qwen finetune with open weights claiming to be "the undetectable AI."
It reportedly passes top AI detectors like GPTZero 90% of the time at every thinking level — higher than real human writing (86%) — while Fable, GPT-6 and Gemini mostly get caught. Weights are available as GGUF on Hugging Face, free for non-commercial use, plus an uncensored adapter (adults only), a web app, API, and Mac/Windows/Android clients.
