Google Cloud CEO: Apple Scaling Foundation Model Pretraining on Latest TPUs

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian: in addition to work with Anthropic (both directly and via Broadcom) and public reference customers like Apple scaling pretraining of their foundation models on the latest TPU generations, Google is also working with new frontier model companies including Mirendil and Physical Intelligence.
The statement confirms TPUs as a pretraining compute choice for multiple frontier labs, with Google still expanding its frontier-model customer roster.
