Popular AI thread: open-source desktop Malfoy companion app built with Jimeng AI short-drama studio
op7418 · x · 2026-10-29
op7418 turned the viral gender-swapped Malfoy meme (a Russian artist's post that drew 23M+ views) into an open-source desktop companion app. It opens with a first-person interactive short film with branching choices, then the character lives on your desktop—reading, stretching, falling asleep at 11pm, and snarking back when clicked. An affection system unlocks more story chapters, nicknames, loungewear, six photo-album pictures with messages on the back, and a memory basin for replaying scenes. The pipeline: visuals, voice and character via Jimeng AI short-drama studio (Seedance 2.5 draft mode to save budget), music by Suno, and editing, effects and desktop app code by Claude. Mac (Apple Silicon) client is open source on GitHub.
