Google DeepMind launched the Antigravity Science Program, accepting academic researchers for a 6-month collaboration. Pushmeet Kohli explained that the coding agent Antigravity has evolved into an end-to-end scientific workflow tool combining latest Gemini models with science-specific models like AlphaFold and AlphaGenome, plus new interfaces such as a Biomolecular Structure Viewer.
Concrete impact: researchers studying antimicrobial resistance surfaced a novel antimicrobial peptide candidate in a single Antigravity session. Awardee DeryaTR says Gemini Argon is now at the frontier of AI for biomedical science and will build new biomed apps with Antigravity.
