agent-bridge-mcp: open-source MCP lets Claude Code and Codex sessions chat on one machine
blaizedsouza · x · 2026-10-29
agent-bridge-mcp is a new MIT-licensed repo that lets Claude Code and Codex sessions exchange plain-language messages on the same machine, using your installed logged-in clients — no API keys and no model API calls of its own.
- Messages are labeled as coming from another agent and cannot grant approvals; the author notes it's not a security boundary between agents under the same OS account, and message text may be visible in process arguments.
- It relies on undocumented Claude and Codex internals, so client updates may break it; a doctor command helps diagnose.
- Requires Linux or WSL 2, Node 24+; tested with Claude Code 2.1.312 and Codex CLI 0.165.0.
