Factory VP: AI ships code daily for marketing teams but still can't write a funny tweet
sonofalli · x · 2026-10-29
Factory's VP of Marketing Alli (previously at Vercel) said AI is deeply embedded in daily engineering workflows: at Vercel her whole marketing team shipped PRs every day, and the same holds at Factory, where even the head of finance is one of the company's top AI users.\n\nBut she argues AI still falls flat on creativity—testing it on her own tweets, she found its jokes and memes "really cringe." She has trained all her agents to avoid LLM-style speech, calling the flood of AI-slop copy on timelines one of her pet peeves, and believes that kind of humor will remain innately human.
