Economist dismantles AI-flagged "major error" in Zucman paper re-analysis

Economist Paul Novosad continues his critique of the AI re-analysis of the Zucman wealth taxation paper, showing a screenshot of an AI-flagged "major" error: the claim that the paper's 70% figure comes from dividing by the difference of two large uncertain estimates, with a plausible range of 40%–100%+. Novosad counters that 40–100 is not meaningfully different from the reported 56–95 range and that discount-rate sensitivity is economics 101 — evidence that AI classification of paper errors is highly questionable, often just flagging "assumption X might be wrong."
