inductionheads · x · 2026-10-29
Ed Zitron, host of the Better Offline podcast, doubled down on his AI-bubble thesis in a new interview, arguing that big tech companies' compute purchases from one another amount to a "circle jerk" propping up a financial house of cards.
Austen sharply pushed back, saying Zitron is deluding himself on the very day he should be eating humble pie: "They're all buying compute. Guess from who? Other big companies. How do you think this would work?" The exchange is the latest flashpoint in the ongoing debate over whether AI capex is sustainable.
