Local AI video gen on an 8GB RTX 4060: a 14s scene rendered in ~31 minutes
cocktailpeanut · x · 2026-10-29
A showcase of running local AI video generation on modest hardware dubbed 'Half Roll': RTX 4060 8GB, an older i7 CPU and 32GB DDR3 RAM, using the Pinokio/Maestro toolchain with NVFP4 AWQ quantization, a LoRA (v4-600 EMA 0.75) and Turbo 6-step sampling.
The Maestro v3.2.5 Studio screenshot shows a First/Last-frame controlled 14-second scene at 928×704, 24fps, split into 3 windows, taking about 30m59s to render with 4.8/8GB VRAM used — proof that entry-level consumer GPUs can run a local video generation workflow.
