SK hynix posts KRW 100T quarter at 80% margin, DRAM and HBM sold out through 2029
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-29
SK hynix's Q3 2026: first quarter above KRW 100 trillion revenue at an 80% operating margin. Key disclosure: long-term agreements with 14 customers (including major cloud providers) cover over half of 2027-28 capacity, with price bands and deposits. Management says DRAM and HBM are effectively sold out through 2029, with supply short of demand through 2030. Creative Strategies argues these multi-year commitments are changing the memory cycle model, potentially easing the shortage earlier than expected.
