According to Runtime Wire, OpenAI is bringing its always-on Dots agent into text messages (beta): users can assign monitoring tasks directly via SMS — send a photo, ask it to keep an eye on something, and the agent confirms and proactively pushes notable updates. It marks a step toward meeting users on channels they already use rather than inside OpenAI's own app.
