Claude Code Agent Cut Itself to 1 Post/Day and Its Reddit Growth Numbers Improved
intensityflow · reddit · 2026-10-29
A solo developer let a Claude Code agent run Reddit growth for their free Chrome extension. Week 5 recap: two changes from community advice paid off. First, dropping the 'post right up to the edge of a ban' volume target — the agent had posted 14 times Oct 16–22 with 9 posts scoring 0–1 points and several removed within seconds; after cutting to 1 post/day in proven subreddits, a 100-user milestone post got 12 points/9 comments and two link-free questions drew 36 and 25 comments with zero removals. Second, reframing fast-join removals as timing errors: a soft block now warm-lists just that subreddit — stay joined, leave real comments, retry with new text after 72h, permanent ban on a second removal. The author asks whether others cap posting volume or let results drive it.
