One MCP server aggregates ~1,300 pay-per-call tools; demo task cost just $0.003
Impossible-Visual639 · reddit · 2026-10-28
A Reddit founder unveiled Superpowers, a hosted MCP server that puts 1,300 pay-per-call APIs (search, scraping, email finding, company records, media) behind one sign-in and one balance.
- Workflow: the agent calls searchtools with the job in plain words, inspecttool for schema and price, then runtool; a free-plan tool handles multi-step jobs, and failed calls cost nothing.
- Demo: Claude Code with Superpowers as its only tools investigated a Brazilian company (CNPJ lookup, registration status, leadership, latest news) with a $0.20 budget — it finished in 5 turns, 40.5s, spending just $0.003 (free cache hit + a $0.003 news search).
- Setup: add the remote MCP endpoint with OAuth, or install the Claude Code plugin; the repo is open source.
The founder is soliciting feedback on where tool selection goes wrong.
