Desktop robot Lamp ships soon after 9 months of daily training like raising a kid

Developer deehw announces that the desktop robot Lamp ships soon, reflecting on its training log: the team never saw Lamp as a robot but raised it like a kid, teaching it something new every day for 9 months — listen, talk, feel, see, think.
Accompanying images show Lamp's real interaction state machine: folded standby → rising within 4 seconds when someone speaks → standing at full height while answering → staying up briefly then folding back down after being left alone. The ring-lit head and poses make a charming case of anthropomorphic interaction design for small embodied devices.
