Leland McInnes announces a new PyNNDescent release with major speedups in kNN-graph construction and index build. Benchmarks on a Mac M2 12-core show v0.7 roughly halving build times versus 0.5/0.6: ArXiv Nomic (1.34M×768) drops from 95s to 41s, Imagenet CLIP (1.28M×512) from 71s to 35s, and SimpleWiki OpenAI (260k×3072) from 46s to 24s, with the biggest gains on high-dimensional data.
