Based on OpenAI Signals v3.0 data (1M sampled messages per month), consumer ChatGPT's gender mix has flipped: women's share of messages rose from 42% in 2024 to 52% in Q3 2026, crossing 50% in May 2025 and staying above it since September 2025.
By category: self-expression messages went from 43% to 60% female, technical help from 27% to 37% — every use case is tilting toward female users.
