Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei suggested pricing AI by the value of its outputs rather than per token. His examples: advice to restart a Mac (already given 10 million times) would be worth under $1, while advising a pharma company to move an aromatic ring to the other end of a molecule could be worth tens of millions of dollars.
Tansu Yegen argues such a model would finally reward rare, high-value insights instead of repetitive advice.
