Dev open-sources an MCP server that deterministically checks SQL before your agent runs it

The author noted that handing an agent a database MCP server lets any model-generated SQL run unchecked, so he built a middle layer: an MCP server that validates SQL before execution using deterministic rules with no LLM in the loop. Read-only tools let the agent list rules and review past checks, so it can explain why something was blocked. For cases where you can't rely on the agent calling the check, a proxy enforces the same rules at the connection level. Proxy, rule engine, MCP and SDKs are all free. He's soliciting feedback on tool design: pre-check tool vs connection-level enforcement.
