Dylan Patel responded to OpenAI TPU announcements by sharing a SemiAnalysis client-only report screenshot: OpenAI signed an 8GW multi-phase Ohio commitment this quarter with NVIDIA backstopping 4.25GW — the largest single leasing commitment on record. OpenAI is also reportedly discussing GPUaaS and TPUaaS with Neoclouds, including a 1GW TPU commitment while it hunts for sites. Anthropic leased 1.7GW the same quarter, including 360MW in Queensland, the largest overseas AI-lab lease of the quarter.
