Researcher slams AGI labs: 'solving alignment' is the dishonest thing they say today
danfaggella · x · 2026-10-28
Quoting a Dario/Daniela Amodei exchange on brain-computer interfaces, danfaggella argues BCI is taboo and all AGI labs must pretend to be in the 'keep the future human' camp. He claims many at Anthropic privately understand unaugmented humans will have near-zero causal purchase, that 'solving alignment' is dishonest — there is no eternal control — and that the only way to persist is augmentation, which no lab leader can say openly because transhumanism is seen as anti-human.
