Vibe-coded game turns UK budget into a disk drive — you must cut £128.8bn to fit
NathanpmYoung · x · 2026-10-28
Ahead of the UK Budget, SAshworthHayes vibe coded an interactive app, Britain's Disk Is Full, that visualizes 2025-26 state spending as a disk drive: receipts are the capacity, spending items are files, and red stripes show borrowing.
Players drag lines to the Recycle Bin or shrink them in 10% increments until the budget balances — which requires cutting £128.8bn, or 9.5% of all spending, with debt interest and accounting adjustments locked. Folders, a properties slider, plan sharing as image/text, and anonymous aggregation of submitted plans round out the demo.
