Grok Build v1.0.72 Cuts MCP Context Usage Nearly in Half With Multi-Agent Terminal Upgrades
XFreeze · x · 2026-10-28
Grok Build shipped v1.0.72, making its terminal a more capable command center for multi-agent workflows:
- File paths, subagent IDs, background tasks and PR numbers are now clickable, with workflow navigation to jump between phases and agents
- Biggest under-the-hood fix: MCP tools built with FastMCP or the official SDK no longer send duplicate results, cutting context usage for those calls roughly in half
- Agent/subagent messages render as compact foldable rows; experimental full Vim editing in the prompt
- Hooks can now block actions on failure or timeout instead of letting them proceed
- Also: safer session deletion prompts, better image previews, Windows inline image support, and fixes for custom models
