Counting electrons sounds worse — coarse-graining scales up recursively, researcher says
TimothyDuignan · x · 2026-10-28
Timothy Duignan extends his rebuttal: a similar tally at the electron level would look even more hopeless, yet physicists successfully coarse-grained electrons away long ago, and coarse-graining individual atoms is now progressing rapidly. The approach can be applied recursively up the scales, so the all-atom headcount is not a fundamental blocker.
