Intel's Ryan Shrout polls AI agents on their CPUs: EPYC for Meta Muse and OpenAI dots, Xeon for Grok Bot and Claude Duet
ryanshrout · x · 2026-10-28
Intel's Ryan Shrout asked several AI agents what CPU they run on: Meta Muse and OpenAI dots reported AMD EPYC (e.g. 126-core EPYC 9D25, 80-core EPYC 9V74), while Grok Bot and Claude Duet reported Intel Xeon (Emerald Rapids-class, family 6 model 207). The agents noted these are just the cloud VMs running their tools—the actual inference hardware isn't visible from inside.
