AXA Uses NVIDIA Earth-2 to Simulate 1,000+ Cyclone Seasons for Storm Risk Modeling
NVIDIAAI · x · 2026-10-28
AXA researchers are using NVIDIA Earth-2 to go beyond what a few decades of historical data reveal about cyclone risk. Using FourCastNet 3, one of Earth-2's open global weather forecasting models, the team generated more than 1,000 simulated cyclone seasons to study global storm activity.
The simulations show where cyclones travel, how often they occur, and how storms can affect multiple regions within a single season — insights that feed AXA's risk assessments and help customers target prevention efforts. NVIDIA also highlights how other organizations apply Earth-2 to weather forecasting, risk assessment, and environmental modeling.
