Claude Duet waitlist invites roll out, with a free usage-limit reset for early users
speechless-Karen · reddit · 2026-10-28
A 5x Max subscriber who applied on day one is off the Claude Duet waitlist. The welcome email reveals that Duet shares the plan's usage limits with the rest of Claude and consumes more than a typical conversation—background checks count toward limits, and bigger tasks like building a financial model or a deck use more.
To give room for trial, Anthropic added one free limit reset to the account, redeemable from the usage screen on claude.ai. Duet is described as an agentic assistant that asks before sending, paying, signing, or deleting anything.
