Axiom AI agents formalize the longest proof in math history: 43.1M lines of Lean verifying CFSG in 24 days

Axiom Math announced a complete Lean auto-formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups (CFSG), the longest proof in human history. CFSG — the "periodic table of symmetry" and one of 20th-century math's landmark achievements — spans roughly 15,000 pages across 500+ papers by 100+ mathematicians over generations. In about 24 days, Axiom's engineers and mathematicians directed swarms of dozens of AI agents to produce approximately 43.1 million lines of Lean proof code, achieving the first fully computer-verified version of the theorem.
