Dwarkesh backs RWE-Bench: evals and RL to make AI design rockets, engines and chips
Jsevillamol · x · 2026-10-28
Dwarkesh announced backing veteran engineers Miguel and Carlos, who are building Real World Engineering Bench (RWE-Bench) — evals and RL environments for real-world engineering domains like aerospace, mechanical and electrical design.
The core thesis: this kind of data will do for physical engineering what coding environments did for software. AI isn't great at designing rockets, engines, or chips yet — with better evals and RL environments, it will be. Software was just the beginning.
